LONDON — Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II's husband and the longest-serving consort of any British monarch, has died at age 99. An assertion posted on the royal family's site Friday morning said: "It is with profound distress that Her Majesty The Queen declares the passing of her adored husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
